Wesley Bolden originated in South Carolina and enjoyed mountain vacations in this area with his grandparents.

Being a visual artist all his life, color theory came naturally. “I’ve always had an eye for color.” Wesley entered into the beauty industry as a make up artist in 1999 in Raleigh NC with Prescriptives Cosmetics. Soon after, he started creating looks with John Robert Powers Modeling Agency for talent cards and publicity shots. He moved to Asheville in 2001 and began styling hair and wigs as well as designing make up for theater productions, fashion shows, and still shots. While at The Grove Park Inn Resort Spa, Wesley customized the Babor make-up line to fit the needs of a spa environment. He was the first and only artist employed by the resort. “I received formal training with Pivot Point here in Asheville and look forward to continuing advanced education with Bumble and Bumble, Vidal Sassoon, and becoming a Wella Master colorist.”

Wesley believes in loving what you’ve got and making it work for what you want. “It’s important for people to be comfortable and confident in how they look.” He works well with the natural texture of your hair and enjoys a cutting range of long layers to cropped tops while specializing in the  curls. He also enjoys creating soft, well blended, yet vibrant colors that would make anyone feel truly beautiful. Wesley develops a strong client/stylist relationship in order to accurately customize a unique look that his clients are comfortable recreating out of the salon.

When not at Ananda, Wesley can be found at the Laurel River, visiting with friends and or family, being entertained by his cats, Dot and Dash, or spending time with his partner Chet.

By far the best stylist I have ever been to. He not only listened to what I wanted to do with my hair and the troubles I was having but spent time telling me what products to use and how to go about getting the look I wanted. It is easy for hair to look great when a stylist does it but when you get home is another story. He really spent time telling me a few different styles I could do on my own and made sure I was comfortable before I left the salon. For as long as I live in Asheville Wesley will be the only stylist I go to.
