For over a decade ananda has been pushing the envelope and exceeding limits. Striving to be the best in all aspects our stylists are constantly being trained; be it daily on the floor or at our monthly education classes we never stop developing our eye for detail or our passion for service.
We are a full service salon incorporating scalp massages, excellent shampoo and conditioning, blow-dries and styling into of our services. Also feel free to indulge in complimentary coffee, fine loose-leaf tea, beer, wine, soda or water while you enjoy your ananda experience.

Coming from Miami, I have experienced many wonderful salons and stylists….but I can honestly tell you right now that Ananda was the absolute best hair styling experience I have ever had! We have a home in the mountains of NC and right before leaving I had my curly hair layered in what I had hoped was a more “modern” look. DISASTER! Can’t even begin to describe the mess….We had a family reunion photograph planned and my daughter BEGGED me to “fix” it….Through Yelp I located this salon and drove 1 1/2 hours to Asheville in hopes that something could be done….a WONDERFUL stylist: Mary Emory, was able to work her incredible magic and not only “fixed” the disaster….but gave me the most original and beautiful haircut of my life! I am NOT kidding! A beautiful salon and an extremely professional, yet personable stylist! I would recommend this salon to everyone!!!!!
I had a very similar experience! I came in very last minute with a disastrous hair cut and coloring job and the owner graciously saved me! He worked miracles on my hair and made me feel so comfortable and welcomed.
I have lived in the Asheville area on and off for 16 years and have had an extremely hard time finding a barber or salon to cut my hair exactly how I wanted until I found ananda and stylist Kendall Knepp. He was able to achieve the exact cut and style that I was looking for. I am very happy with my hair and have decided to make ananda the only place I’ll go for any of my hair needs.
